Didn’t Mrs. Tu Cung, King Bao Dai’s mother, suggest this place? That’s how Linh Son Pagoda came to be. It is named after a mountain in India. This pagoda stands as a serene testament to Dalat’s spiritual heart.

Linh Son Pagoda’s story began in 1938. It finished in 1940. It quickly became a focal point for Buddhist followers. The pagoda covers four hectares. It blends architectural beauty with natural surroundings.

Inside the main temple, a 1.7-meter-high copper statue of Thich Ca Buddha awaits. It weighs 1,250 kg. To the right, a 450-kg bell stands ready. To the left sits a drum. It has a 0.75m diameter. Not far away, a precious three-story tower rises.

Venerable Thich Tu Man has overseen the pagoda since 1964. His dedication ensures the pagoda’s continued serenity. The central altar showcases a bronze statue of Sakyamuni Buddha. It was cast in 1952. It weighs 1,250kg.

The pagoda embodies an Oriental architectural style. Artificial mountains and flower gardens surround it. They enhance its tranquil setting. As you wander, notice the dragons at the entrance. They add to its majestic presence.

Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara stands on a lotus pedestal in the courtyard. To the left, a pond features rockeries and ornamental plants. A three-story octagonal stupa graces the right. Its tiled roof reaches four meters high.

Inside, the main hall is adorned with spiritual Chinese couplets. These are carved on four large wooden pillars. The hall houses the altar of Shakyamuni Buddha. The Buddha sits on a lotus throne.

On the left side of the main hall is the Patriarch’s hall. It worships Master Dat Ma. Tablets of deceased monks rest here. A large drum stands outside. On the right, statues of Dharma Protector Amitabha reside. The Dai Hong Chung bell hangs on a wooden frame. It weighs 450 kg.

The pagoda provides a tranquil experience. The sounds of chirping birds and rustling leaves create a symphony. Many visitors come here. They seek inner peace. They want to relieve life’s burdens. You can light incense. You can worship. If you wish for good things.

Remember to dress discreetly. Avoid revealing clothes. Behave politely. Refrain from loud laughter or offensive words. Choose comfortable shoes to explore the grounds. Do not litter or damage the plants.

Linh Son Pagoda offers more than beauty. It gives spiritual values. It welcomes thousands of tourists. They come to worship. They seek blessings. It stands as a testament. It shows Dalat’s rich cultural heritage.
