The addition of the HH Linh Đàm complex, a cluster of high-rise residential buildings, sparked controversy. While it addressed the housing demand, it also brought challenges. Increased traffic congestion and strain on local schools became pressing issues. The idyllic vision of the model urban area seemed to fade. Today, Linh Dam Lake reflects the complexities of Hanoi’s rapid growth. It is a blend of old and new, tradition and modernity.
