In the heart of Cambridge, Light of Life Church stands as a beacon. It’s a testament to the power of prayer and a vision. Light of Life Church began with a simple prayer. One night, while praying with a friend, Pastor Shearer felt a calling. Acts 13:2 resonated deeply. He felt compelled to start a new ministry closer to the city. After a year of prayer and counsel, the vision for Light of Life Church began to crystallize. They envisioned a diverse church. A church dedicated to prayer and worship. A church reaching out to the community with Christ’s love. The name, Light of Life Church, comes from John 8:12. Jesus says, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” The church began as a small group meeting in Pastor Shearer’s home in February 2015. The focus was on building a strong, loving foundation. In December 2015, Light of Life Church officially launched in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Its location at 153 Alewife Brook Parkway, across from the Alewife T Station, offers easy access to both the city and the suburbs. Light of Life Church continues to shine the light of Christ in Cambridge, Boston, and beyond.
