Liaojia Town has a long history. It was built during the Tang Dynasty. The Liao family set up a store here, which gave the town its name. In the Ming Dynasty, it was part of Yugui Township. In the early Qing Dynasty, it became part of Chongqing Prefecture. Today, Liaojia Town is a thriving community in Chongzhou City, Chengdu. The town covers about 24.51 square kilometers and has a population of more than 21,000. In 2019, the town absorbed the administrative area of Chongping Town. This historic town continues to be a crucial part of the surrounding region. Liaojia Town is a testament to the rich history of the region, where past meets present in a captivating way.
