Originally discovered during military tunnelling, Levant Cave bears a striking resemblance to its more famous counterpart, New St. Michael’s Cave. George Palao, a local expert, even believed a narrow passage connected the two. Sadly, much of Levant Cave’s original splendor was lost due to the very tunnelling that brought it to light. Yet, within its remaining chambers, you can still find breathtaking formations echoing those of New St. Michael’s Cave, a testament to the enduring forces that shaped this subterranean wonderland.
