A young soldier of only seventeen years. His life ended in October 1915. Lieutenant Eyre Wilkinson also rests here. He was a member of the Royal Flying Corps. Amongst the names another story emerges. The story of Gunner William Jones. He was executed for desertion in April 1915. A grim reminder of the harsh realities faced by soldiers. Not only by those on the front line. The horrors of war extended beyond the battlefield. They stretched to the lives of those back home.
