“Adventure of Faith,” what a captivating slogan! Kruger Parade Baptist Church started as Gailes Baptist Fellowship in 1965. Then, the Gailes church merged with Redbank Plains Fellowship in 1987. They became the Redbank Plains Gailes Baptist Fellowship.

In 1988, they bought this property on Kruger Parade. Construction began in 1991. The first service was held on June 14, 1992. With the new location came a new name. It was named Kruger Parade Baptist Church.

The building project was an “Adventure of Faith”. It raised around half a million dollars. This money was used to build the church facility. Clearing the land was an adventure. Planning the building was an adventure too. Constructing what we have today was quite the feat.

It was nothing short of a miracle. People sacrificed so much. They wanted to see this happen. Endless prayer followed the church. God brought together resourceful people. They built the church over eight months.

Over the years, the church focused on glorifying God. They wanted to help people grow in faith. Many different faces have come through these doors. Children grew into adults here. Families and communities have been helped and supported. People have come to know Jesus here. There have been baptisms and stories of spiritual growth.

The Kruger Parade Baptist Church has always helped those in need. During the 2011 flood disaster, the church became a hub. They received and gave household items to those affected. They have a strong connection with the community. They offer counseling and food hampers. They give pastoral care. Life Keys courses have helped many grow.

Their international work continues to grow. They support Harland House in Fiji. This is a boarding house for deaf students. Work teams have traveled to Fiji to help. They also support an outreach ministry in Fiji. They invest in the work of Love International in Mozambique. Love International developed a school there. They hope to build a future medical facility too.

Major events have also played a role. There have been Easter festivals and Christmas concerts. They organize church camps and dinners. They do fundraising. People work together on floats for the Jacaranda Festival. Kruger Parade Baptist Church has always focused on children and youth. At one stage, they even had a bus. The bus brought children to Sunday School. They have playgroups and kids clubs. They run VBS holiday programs and youth groups. They organize camps and kids games. They invest in the lives of children and families. They help them grow and support them.

Kruger Parade Baptist Church looks forward to the future. They will continue their Adventure of Faith. They will listen to God. They will follow His lead. Will you join them?
