“Radha Parthasarathi Ki Jai!” That chant celebrates the deities of the ISKCON Temple. It is also known as the Sri Sri Radha Parthasarathi Mandir. This Krishna Mandir is a prominent Vaishnav temple. It is dedicated to Lord Krishna and Radharani. We stand at the Hare Krishna Hills near Nehru Place in East of Kailash. This area of New Delhi is where the ISKCON Delhi temple opened in 1998.

Picture this grand temple complex. Achyut Kanvinde designed and built it. He accepted a pro-bono commission in 1993. He wanted to create this temple for Srila Prabhupada’s followers. Today, it is one of India’s largest temple complexes. It houses numerous rooms for priests and service personnel.

The Krishna Mandir also features a 375-seater auditorium. Cultural and religious functions often occur here. Many halls support the temple’s administration. Seminars take place here too. The ISKCON Delhi temple complex has four broad sections.

Let’s step inside the Glory of India Vedic Cultural Centre. This is a popular spot for visitors. Here, you can learn about major Hindu texts. Multimedia technologies bring these texts to life.

One highlight is the Bhagavad Gita Animatronics show. It uses dramatic narration, lasers, and projections. Visitors learn about the five major concepts of the Bhagavad Gita. They also explore the three modes of nature and the Yoga systems.

Another attraction is the Mahabharat Experience. This light and sound show presents the epic’s storyline. It spans thousands of verses concisely. The Ramayana Art Gallery displays over 30 original oil paintings. ISKCON members from around the world created them. The Bhagavat Puran Exhibit visually presents this important Vaishnava text.

Don’t miss the World’s Largest Sacred Book. The ‘Astounding Bhagavad Gita’ resides within this Krishna Mandir. It weighs 800 kg and measures over 2.8 metres. The Italian printed book was unveiled in 2019. Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented it.

As you wander, notice the premier deities. Radha Parthasarathi stand radiant. The Gaura Nitai shrine also captivates. The ISKCON Delhi temple is beautiful both day and night. Especially during Janmashtami.

This ISKCON Delhi temple is more than a religious site. It’s a cultural and educational hub. It offers insights into Hinduism’s rich heritage. Take a moment to absorb the spiritual atmosphere.
