A church born from unity. That’s the essence of Klein First Baptist Church. Here, at 19315 Ella Blvd, stands a testament to the power of shared faith and vision. Klein First Baptist Church wasn’t built in a conventional way. It emerged from the union of two congregations: Mills Road Baptist Church and Covenant Church of Spring. In 2017, these two churches recognized their shared commitment to the Gospel. They saw a greater potential for God’s glory in unity. Their combined efforts led to the formation of Christ Our Savior Baptist Church. The foundation was strong, built on shared doctrine and a desire to reach the lost. It was a unique church planting, a merging of resources and hearts. This new congregation thrived. In 2024, they acquired this property on Ella Blvd. They changed their name to Klein First Baptist Church, reflecting their location in the heart of the Klein community. This location signifies more than just a building. It represents the culmination of years of shared history, a history that traces back to the founding of Mills Road Baptist Church in 1974 by Larry Newcomer and Covenant Church of Spring in 2011 by John Young. The leadership transitioned seamlessly, with key figures from both churches becoming founding pastors of Christ Our Savior Baptist Church. Klein First Baptist Church stands as a beacon of unity and shared purpose, a testament to the power of two becoming one. It’s a story of two congregations choosing collaboration over competition, a decision that has strengthened their impact on the community and amplified their message of faith.
