Overlooking the rooftops of Gangseo-gu and Yangcheon-gu, Kkachisan Park offers a unique perspective. Kkachisan Park sits atop Kkachisan, a modest hill generously called a mountain. Kkachisan, meaning “Magpie Mountain,” is more of a large hill than a towering peak. It’s significant enough to require the Hwagok Tunnel for Gangseo-ro to pass through. You can reach this little park from Kkachisan Station, Exits 1 or 4. Concrete walkways lead up the sides of the tunnel. A set of wooden stairs then takes you to the park itself. Kkachisan Park is small. It features trees, exercise equipment, and a gazebo. From this vantage point, you can see the Hyperion apartments in Omokgyo to the east. You can also watch planes descend into Gimpo Airport. Kkachisan Park offers a tranquil escape above the bustling city.
