The current Kirche Ahrensfelde arose in 1768. Its elongated plastered form is punctuated by arched windows, inviting light to dance within. A significant transformation occurred in 1875. A majestic tower was added, its square base rising into an octagon, crowned with a gleaming copper spire. The church’s footprint expanded eastward by seven meters. A sacristy was added, creating a harmonious balance. Inside, a late 18th-century gallery graces the west side, a perfect perch for contemplating history and faith. The church is more than stones and mortar. It is the heart of the Evangelische Gesamtkirchengemeinde Ahrensfelde-Mehrow-Eiche. This vibrant community of 1,034 members breathes life into these hallowed halls. Every Sunday at 9:30 am, the community gathers for worship.
