Apostle Yoshua Ndagijimana Masasu, the visionary behind the Kimisagara Restauration Church, probably didn’t anticipate the architectural marvel his church would become. Located a short drive from Nyabugogo market in the vibrant Kimisagara neighborhood, the Kimisagara Restauration Church stands as a testament to Rwandan resilience and faith. ERC Kimisagara, as it’s also known, emerged in the aftermath of the Genocide against Tutsi, a period of profound healing and rebuilding for Rwanda. Perhaps the name “Restoration” reflects this poignant era. The church’s unique architecture sets it apart. Sadly, the architect, also a former senior pastor, passed away before realizing the full extent of his vision. However, his legacy lives on in the striking design. One remarkable feature, a baptismal well integrated into the pulpit, showcases the church’s commitment to its faith. The Kimisagara Restauration Church can accommodate a large congregation, a testament to its growing community. The church’s story, much like Rwanda’s own, speaks of overcoming adversity and emerging stronger. It’s a place of hope, a beacon of faith, and an architectural gem in the heart of Kigali.
