KiKi Kyobashi opened its doors on November 28, 2008. The Keihan Electric Railway’s subsidiary runs it. It aimed to revitalize the Kyobashi area.

KiKi Kyobashi aimed to be a new landmark. Yoshimoto Kogyo planned to open “Kyobashi Kagetsu”. This was a theater. However, Kyobashi Kagetsu closed in November 2011. Its lease was not renewed after three years.
