The air here seems different, doesn’t it? A little cooler, maybe even a bit sweeter. That’s the magic of Khlong Bang Bon for you. This isn’t just some canal, mind you. It’s the lifeblood of this whole area, this Khlong Bang Bon subdistrict. The name itself, Khlong Bang Bon, actually translates to “Bang Bon canal”. It tells you just how important this waterway is. See, back in the day, this whole area was all part of one big Bang Bon subdistrict. Then things changed in 2017. That’s when the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration decided to shake things up. They divided the old subdistrict, carved it up into four new ones. And guess what? They named one of them after our very own Khlong Bang Bon, a testament to its long-standing importance to the community. This canal, it snakes its way through the heart of this place. It acts as a kind of watery dividing line, separating us here in Khlong Bang Bon from our neighbors like Khlong Bang Phran.
