In 1977 the church joined the Uniting Church of Australia becoming part of a larger network of faith. A new church building rose behind the wooden chapel in 1979. This expanded space welcomed an even wider community for worship and shared activities.

The Uniting Church’s influence extended to the Karana Downs and Mount Crosby areas during the 1990s. Services were held at the Community Centre on Swensons Road. This led to the establishment of Karana Downs Uniting Church with site ownership transferring to the Uniting Church.
