The fearsome Tyrannosaurus Rex roams here. It outwitted its hybrid cousin Indominus rex in an epic fight. No creature or human is safe in its presence. An adult T-Rex needs at least 140kg of meat each day. It can catch a hundred-pound chunk of meat mid-air. This terrifying behavior is called inertial feeding. The T-Rex stands 5.2 meters tall and measures 13.5 meters long. It weighs a massive 8.4 tonnes.
Also, watch out for the Velociraptors. Blue is the deadliest. She is named for the iridescent stripe. It runs down her body. Blue was special from the moment she hatched. The last raptor on Isla Nublar is also the largest. She is almost 20 percent larger than the first raptors. Blue could easily snatch meat from hooks. These are placed 15 feet in the air. An adult can bite with a force of over 8000 Newtons. This equals the bite of a large American alligator. Blue stands 1.7 meters tall and stretches 3.9 meters long. She weighs 226kg.
Then there is the terrifying Indominus rex. It was the first hybrid. Dr Wu and his colleagues created it from scratch. Genes from various carnivorous dinosaurs were combined. They also used modern-day creatures with unique characteristics. The Indominus rex eats anything it can get its claws on. It can swallow a human in a single gulp. It often kills for sport. This hybrid stands 6.7 meters tall and measures 16.9 meters long.
Pteranodon also resides here. These creatures tend to roost in groups. They often gather near cliffsides. Updrafts are common there. The beak of the Pteranodon is a formidable weapon. Pteranodon have no teeth. They primarily eat fish. The Pteranodon boasts a wingspan of 7.5 meters and stands 3.1 meters tall.
