Ever wonder how a church grows from a living room to a multi-purpose facility? The story of Jubilee Christian Center in Detroit starts with humble beginnings and a powerful vision.

In 1996, Dennis G. Williams and his wife Wendelin founded Jubilee Christian Center. Dennis had just graduated from Ministry School the year before. He started Jubilee Ministries with monthly meetings focused on God’s Banking System. These meetings became more frequent. They went from bi-weekly to weekly.

The first official church organization meeting happened in March 1996. It was held in the Williams’ home. Seven people attended. Jubilee Christian Center’s first Sunday service was on May 6, 1996. They rented space in a church building on Schaefer Road in Detroit. They had a two-and-a-half-hour slot each Sunday.

Imagine all of their church supplies fitting into a cardboard box. Their praise and worship music came from a boom box. A single microphone amplified the sound.

Later, Jubilee Christian Center purchased the Schaefer Road facility. They stayed there until they moved to a hotel in Southfield, Michigan. Jubilee eventually moved to a larger space. It is a 21000 square foot multi-purpose facility. It sits on three acres of land in Livonia, Michigan.

Today, Jubilee Christian Center offers many ministries. These ministries cater to all age groups. Men of Valor is their men’s ministry. Women of Righteous Dominion is for women. Truth Zone-TZ serves the youth. Kingdom Kidz is the children’s ministry. Covenant Couples supports married couples. Blood Bought Singles offers fellowship for singles. Jubilee Bible Institute is their ministry school. CIA/12 Wednesday Impact Bible Study enriches faith.

Other ministries include Christian counseling. There is also a Businessmen’s Fellowship. The Success Institute helps people thrive. Operation Blessing provides outreach. The Book and CD Ministry shares resources. The church has a heart for outreach and evangelism.

Pastors Dennis and Wendelin Williams lead Jubilee Christian Center. They are dedicated to teaching God’s Word. They want everyone to experience victory in life. Jubilee Christian Center’s mission is clear. It aims to build people and change lives. This is achieved through teaching and preaching. The church publishes God’s Word. It offers fellowship that glorifies God.

Jubilee Christian Center is a non-denominational church. It embraces the Spirit. It strives for excellence. The church wants to minister to your needs. These needs include spiritual, mental, physical and financial aspects.

If you visit Jubilee Christian Center expect a welcoming atmosphere. Services have contemporary worship. Communion is observed. There is an altar call. You can dress casually. The church is wheelchair accessible. It provides a private parking lot. Sunday worship service is at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday Bible study is at 7:30 p.m.
