Imagine standing here in Jiuduhe. A colorful river unfolds before you. It is a place that transforms with the seasons.

Jiuduhe Town is located in the southwestern part of the Huairou District in Beijing. This town is not just a location. It is a tapestry of history and natural beauty.

Let’s step back in time. Jiuduhe’s story is etched through different eras. Once part of Changping Department during the Ming and Qing dynasties, it has undergone many administrative changes. It transitioned from Changping County to Huairou County. It even briefly became the Bayi People’s Commune. Finally, in 2001, Jiuduhe became part of the Huairou District, Beijing.

Jiuduhe covers 177.6 square kilometers. In 2020, it was home to 12,533 residents. This gives it a cozy density of about 71 people per square kilometer. The town comprises 18 villages each with its own unique charm.

Now consider the seasons here. Each one paints a different picture. Spring brings apricot blossoms. The mountains turn pink. Summer explodes with greenery. It offers a cool escape. Autumn sees a riot of colors. It is perhaps Jiuduhe’s most beautiful time. Winter cloaks the mountains in thick snow. The landscape becomes a tranquil white expanse.

One notable area here is Tuanquan Valley. Here you can find beautiful Chinese courtyards. These courtyards represent more than just homes. They embody a deep cultural connection. The Chinese courtyard holds an irreplaceable position in the hearts of Chinese people.

Outdoor activities abound here. You can walk along the wooden plank road by the river every morning. Even in winter it is possible.

Huanghuacheng village, part of Jiuduhe, features the Lakeside Great Wall. This section is known for its unique scenery. Parts of the Great Wall are submerged in the lake water.

Huairou District enjoys a humid continental climate. Temperatures range from highs in July around 26.2°C to lows in January around -4.6°C.

Jiuduhe offers a retreat from the city. The colorful river and changing seasons create an unforgettable experience. Whether you seek history, culture, or natural beauty, Jiuduhe welcomes you. Take a moment to breathe it all in.
