Established in April 1995, the Japanese School of Guangzhou stands as a testament to the enduring connection between Japan and China. This school, officially recognized by the Chinese Ministry of Education on June 13, 1995, serves as a vital educational hub for Japanese children living in Guangzhou. The Japanese School of Guangzhou isn’t just a school. It’s a bridge between cultures. It offers a comprehensive curriculum from grades 1 through 12, ensuring a smooth transition for students throughout their academic journey. In May 2021, the Japanese School of Guangzhou had an enrollment of 267 students. This number reflects the dedication and commitment of the school and the community it serves. The school’s establishment was spearheaded by the Guangzhou Japanese Commerce and Industry Association, highlighting the importance placed on education within the Japanese community. They raised funds and, with support from the Consulate-General of Japan in Guangzhou, brought this institution to life. Located at 10 Fengxin Road, in the Guangzhou Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, the Japanese School of Guangzhou is more than just bricks and mortar.
