Reflecting the sunlight, the historic vineyard terraces give Jägersvorstadt its slightly elevated position. This location provides fantastic views of Potsdam. Jägersvorstadt sits directly between the baroque city center and Park Sanssouci. This makes it a desirable place to live.

After 1990, a promenade was created on Hegelallee. Hegelallee was formerly Lindenstraße. This promenade traces the former city wall. It runs from the Brandenburg Gate to the Nauener Gate. Since 2008, the former Unteroffiziersschule on Jägerallee has been a modern justice center.
