Nestled within the halls of Kwangwoon University, the International Studies Hall buzzes with a unique energy. It isn’t just a building. It’s a crossroads of cultures, a hub for global understanding, and a testament to Kwangwoon University’s commitment to international education. The International Studies Hall, room 118 of Hanul Hall, houses two distinct yet interconnected programs: the International Area Studies Program and the Global Korea Program. The International Area Studies Program focuses on cultivating regional specialists, particularly in Northeast Asia. Students delve deep into the political, economic, and social dynamics of the region. They hone their language skills in English, Chinese, and Japanese, gaining the tools to navigate the complexities of international relations. The program also offers immersive experiences, including study abroad and field training in Japan, China, and English-speaking countries. The International Studies Hall becomes a launchpad for these students, propelling them towards a future of global engagement. The Global Korea Program, a newer addition, welcomes both Korean and international students. It’s designed to foster expertise in Korean politics, economy, trade, culture, and international relations. The curriculum, offered in both Korean and other languages, equips students with the skills to thrive in Korea’s international cooperation field. Within the International Studies Hall, Korean and international students initially follow separate paths. However, from their second year onwards, they converge, sharing a common curriculum and the opportunity to pursue minors and double majors. The International Studies Hall is more than just bricks and mortar. It’s a dynamic space where students from diverse backgrounds converge, learn, and collaborate. They are the future leaders of a globalized world. Their journey begins here, in the vibrant heart of Kwangwoon University’s International Studies Hall.
