The International Central Gospel Church, or ICGC, began its journey on February 26, 1984. A small classroom held the first gathering of just twenty souls. Today, the ICGC boasts a following of nearly 50,000, marking it as one of Ghana’s fastest-growing charismatic churches. The church’s impact extends beyond its walls. ICGC established Central University College, the largest private university in Ghana. This commitment to education also birthed Central Aid, a scholarship program supporting pre-tertiary students. It stands as one of Ghana’s largest non-governmental scholarship initiatives. From humble beginnings in a classroom to an ultramodern complex, the International Central Gospel Church has blossomed. Its founder, Pastor Mensa Otabil, envisioned a church that would not only nurture faith but also uplift the community.
