But did you know it was originally a school for boys only, with its doors first opened in Petit-Lancy, a suburb of Geneva? Back then, it was a peaceful place, very different from the city it is now. The world changed, though, and the school has been led by lay people since 1995. And in 1978, it started accepting girls at the secondary level. Now, it’s open to all students, regardless of gender or religion, and it even offers boarding. It’s still a Catholic school, but it welcomes students of all faiths.
