The Inertia – Museo Subacuático aimed to protect the endangered Manchones Reef by offering an alternative attraction for visitors. Over 500 life-size sculptures populate this underwater gallery. These incredible artworks were crafted by artists like Jason Decaires Taylor, Karen Salinas Martinez, and several others. Their creations rest on the seabed. They’re made from a specialized marine concrete. This concrete promotes coral growth, transforming the sculptures into artificial reefs over time.
