Immanuel Temple Apostolic Church Inc opened its doors in Santee California on September 1 1996. Elder Jesse Franks Jr led the congregation. They shared a building with another Apostolic Church. Their first service featured communion not Sunday school. A small group attended including the pastor’s family and a few other families. In November 1996 the church joined District 21 under District Elder Joseph Hall. They also became part of the California District Council.
A pivotal moment arrived in August 1997. God guided Pastor Franks to a warehouse at 3131 Market Street. He envisioned this warehouse transformed into the magnificent sanctuary where worshippers gather today. It shows that even in humble beginnings great things can happen.
