The year 1715 marked a significant moment in the church’s history. The contract for the magnificent high altar was signed, a testament to the dedication of Reverendo Abade Adriano Peixoto de Andrade, the parish priest of Louredo at the time. He insisted on a masterpiece. He commissioned Manuel Machado de Miranda to create an altar that would rival the one in Braga’s Igreja do Pópulo. Step inside the Igreja Matriz de Louredo – S.
