Seven days. Seven days of prayer and reflection recently echoed through the Igreja Adventista do Sétimo Dia de Matosinhos. The church, nestled in the heart of Matosinhos, Porto, hosted a special youth week of prayer. Pastor Samuel Cunha, originally from Porto but ministering in Switzerland for the past seven years, returned to lead these powerful sessions. His focus on youth ministry brought a renewed energy to the Igreja Adventista do Sétimo Dia de Matosinhos. This marked the first in-person youth prayer week at the church since the pandemic began. Each evening, an average of 50 people filled the space, culminating in a gathering of nearly 100 on the final Sabbath. Eight visitors experienced an Adventist church for the first time. Pastor Cunha dedicated a special session to the youth of the Igreja Adventista do Sétimo Dia de Matosinhos. Around 20 young people, aged up to 35, gathered to discuss questions they had anonymously submitted throughout the week. Nearly 30 questions sparked a dynamic conversation. The week concluded with an afternoon session attended by another 50 people. The theme of the Holy Spirit and its presence in our lives resonated deeply throughout the week at Igreja Adventista do Sétimo Dia de Matosinhos. The messages focused on transitioning from simply having the Holy Spirit beside us to having it dwell within us.
