In 1989 a new chapter began. The Iglesia Pentecostal del Nombre de Jesus opened its doors in Cali. Two men Pastor Noel Ospina Muriel and Pastor Alvaro Alzate Perez joined forces. Their shared vision was to spread a message of forgiveness and restoration. They chose Cali a city brimming with life and challenges as the perfect location to start their work. He traveled far and wide sharing the message of the Gospel. He faced persecution and threats yet never faltered in his belief. He even learned to read through the Bible.
