Founded over 45 years ago Iglesia Bautista Horeb stands as a testament to faith. It began as a small Spanish ministry. It was part of the First Baptist Church of Torrance. The ministry thrived. More members joined. Reverend Domingo Avila and leaders decided to establish a separate church. They moved to 925 West 223rd Street Torrance California. This became the church’s permanent home. Iglesia Bautista Horeb welcomed many immigrant families. The church recognized a need. They needed a ministry for English-speaking members. They hired youth pastor Nohan Cruz. He helped motivate and teach the youth. Iglesia Bautista Horeb now offers services in both Spanish and English. Many dedicated pastors served the church. This includes founding pastor Domingo Avila Nohan Cruz Yldefonso Valdes and current pastor Jose Luis Herladez. The church is known for its welcoming atmosphere.
