The International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), the larger body to which Manna Temple belongs, began its life in 1984. It wasn’t in a grand cathedral, but in classrooms, homes, even a science lab and a cinema. Imagine a small group of mostly high school students, led by Pastor Mensa Otabil, holding services amidst bubbling beakers and test tubes. Their vision was to build a church that truly reflected God’s plan. They faced challenges, moving from place to place for the first three years. Yet, their faith held firm. In 1986, the burgeoning congregation found a temporary home in the Baden-Powell Memorial Hall. Over the next decade, at this very hall, the ICGC grew to over 4,000 members. This growth wasn’t confined to Accra. It spread like wildfire, igniting the creation of daughter churches across Ghana, then Africa, eventually reaching Europe, the United States, and Canada. ICGC Manna Temple stands as a testament to this incredible journey. It’s a testament to the power of faith, started by a small group with a big vision.
