In 1984 the International Central Gospel Church was inaugurated in Accra Ghana. It began in a small classroom. The church’s early days saw meetings in various locations. These included classrooms residences and even a cinema.
By 1986 the church had grown significantly. It then settled in Baden Powell Memorial Hall. For ten years this hall served as its home. During this time the church’s membership rose to over 4000.

Also in 1988 the church launched Central Aid. Central Aid is an educational scholarship. It supports needy students in pre-tertiary institutions. It has become one of Ghana’s largest non-governmental scholarship programs.
