Huisache Avenue Baptist Church

Seeking solace and spiritual guidance? Huisache Avenue Baptist Church offers exactly that. Huisache Avenue Baptist Church isn’t just a building. It’s a vibrant community dedicated to glorifying the Lord. The church’s mission is threefold: winning the lost, teaching the found, and inspiring everyone to serve the Lord in new ways. Huisache Avenue Baptist Church strives to maintain a traditional church atmosphere. They emphasize hearing the truth and experiencing the Holy Spirit’s power in every service. The Bible is their ultimate authority, preaching their communication method, and prayer the driving force behind their ministry. Their motivation stems from a deep desire to glorify God and bless those who enter their doors. They are deeply committed to both the Great Commission and the Great Commandment. Pastor Bezaleel Cummings, affectionately known as Pastor Bez, leads this congregation. His personal story is one of transformation and resilience. He found Christ at a young age, experiencing a profound shift in his desires from avoiding punishment to escaping sin. This early encounter shaped his life, leading him to dedicate himself to ministry. Pastor Bez’s journey has not been without its challenges. He faced the devastating loss of his first wife, a period of profound grief for him, his children, and the church. Yet, through this tragedy, he found God’s healing power and discovered a deeper capacity to share hope with others. This experience led him to pursue a degree in biblical counseling, further equipping him to minister to those struggling with life’s difficulties. Now remarried to Michelle, Pastor Bez leads Huisache Avenue Baptist Church with renewed passion. Together, they nurture a loving and supportive environment for their blended family and the congregation. They are eager to witness God’s continued work in their lives and the lives of their church members. Huisache Avenue Baptist Church welcomes everyone to join their community and experience the transformative power of faith.
