The first public meeting proposing this concept took place in 1995 at Memorial City Hospital. Then came the official registration as a non-profit organization in 1996 followed by the assigning of an Employer Identification Number. This was a pivotal moment marking the society’s official recognition. The construction of the temple itself was a remarkable feat. The foundation stone was laid in 1998. The first Durga Puja took place in 2000. This auspicious event marked the culmination of years of hard work and devotion. Swami Shanta Rupananda a senior monk from the Ramkrishna order performed the inauguration ceremony.
