Founded in 1934 the House of Prayer in Brooklyn NY has a rich history. It began as a small mission on Floyd Street. The Pentecostal House of Prayer for All People Inc officially formed in 1937. God performed many miracles through the founders Bishop Julio O and Mother Adele Felix. Their preaching and teaching saved numerous souls. The church moved several times. Eventually it settled at its current location 1926 Prospect Place. This is where the House of Prayer continues its mission. The House of Prayer’s mission is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They do this through discipleship and outreach in the Brooklyn community. They aim to maintain the worship of God. They also foster love and reconciliation among their congregation. The House of Prayer strives to inspire a love for Christ in everyone. They want to activate a passion for righteousness and service. The church pledges its members’ lives to Christ. They display the Spirit through worship witnessing and ministry. The House of Prayer welcomes people of all ages backgrounds and walks of life. They are passionate about sharing the Lord’s message of hope and acceptance. The current Senior Pastor is Elder Henry Cabbagestalk. He has served the church since childhood. He has been a Christian pastor for fourteen years. The House of Prayer remains a place of refuge for those called to the service of the Lord. The church continues to serve the community and spread the word of God. It is a vibrant part of Brooklyn’s religious landscape.
