Today the Hospital de Formentera serves about 11000 residents. It covers the entire island. The hospital is linked to the Centro de Salud Formentera. This is the island’s primary healthcare center.
The Hospital de Formentera offers a range of medical services. These include cardiology dermatology and internal medicine. Surgical services include anesthesia gynecology and traumatology. The hospital also has central services. These are clinical analysis pharmacy and radiodiagnostics. Around 90 professionals work here. The staff includes doctors nurses and other personnel.
The Hospital de Formentera building also houses the Health Center. It stands on a 3400 square meter plot. The hospital has 12 beds and 5 operating rooms. There are 2 radiology rooms and 3 ultrasound machines. It also offers 12 outpatient clinics. A delivery room and mammography unit are available.
