Then in 1978 the Ursuline Sisters of Mary Immaculate arrived. Mother Giovanna a doctor herself became a legend. She spearheaded fundraising both locally and internationally. She understood that superior medical care and rigorous evaluation were vital. Her leadership transformed Holy Family Hospital.
By 1985 the hospital boasted 120 beds. Infrastructure and technology were updated. It continued to grow into the 268-bed facility we see today. A modern marvel in the heart of Mumbai.
