Established in 1971 the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts HSPVA opened its doors. It was a bold experiment a public school dedicated to nurturing young artistic talent. The new Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts opened in 2019. The Kinder Foundation’s substantial contribution led to the name change.
