The roads were rough, and electricity was a luxury for few. Water supply was scarce, meeting only a fraction of the demand. Hiep Phuoc Industrial Park, despite these challenges, persevered. They tackled the water shortage head-on by establishing a water plant in neighboring Long An Province. This plant, with an output of 10,000 cubic meters, became a lifeline for the burgeoning industrial park. They didn’t stop there. A wastewater treatment facility was also constructed, demonstrating their commitment to sustainable development. Hiep Phuoc Industrial Park covers a vast area of 1,686 hectares. It is not just an industrial zone, but a bustling hub with a deep-sea port capable of accommodating vessels up to 30,000 DWT. This port is strategically crucial, serving as a gateway for ships traveling from the East Sea to the Saigon Port system. Hiep Phuoc Industrial Park is a testament to vision and perseverance. From its humble beginnings in 1996, it has transformed into a vital economic engine for Ho Chi Minh City. The park boasts a modern infrastructure, including a robust power supply from the Hiep Phuoc Thermal Power Plant. The once-rough roads have been paved and expanded, accommodating the constant flow of container trucks to and from the SPCT port. Even telecommunications have been modernized, with a comprehensive fiber optic network installed by VNPT. Hiep Phuoc Industrial Park hasn’t forgotten its workforce. They’ve built an apartment building to house 1,000 employees, recognizing that a thriving community requires comfortable housing. The story of Hiep Phuoc Commune is one of transformation.
