The Hermann-Stöhr-Haus stands as a beacon within the “Green Triangle” a large housing development built in 1967. Over 2000 apartments sprung up around it a vibrant community needing a spiritual center. In 1972 the church council applied to establish a new parish. This became the Evangelical Parish “Green Triangle on Heerstraße” in 1973. The Hermann-Stöhr-Haus was its answer a place of worship community and gathering. Architects Rainald Neumann and Peter Lehrecke designed this five-story building. Its unique facade blends cubic and semi-circular sections a visual representation of the community’s diverse character.
