Curious about what lies within? The Heimatmuseum Ingersleben awaits. It is housed in a Gutshaus. This manor house was once home to mostly noble owners. Hans von Ziegler, from an Erfurt Waidhändler family, acquired the Rittergut Ingersleben in 1602. This marked a significant change for the estate.

Now, let’s step inside the Heimatmuseum Ingersleben. Notice the Renaissance portal and the archway. Both date back to 1622. These architectural details have been carefully restored. Original paintings adorn many of the interior rooms. The “Schwarze Küche” from around 1700 is particularly noteworthy. So is the “Münchhausenzimmer”. Don’t miss the “Große Diele”. It features Begleitstrichmalerei.

The Heimatmuseum Ingersleben’s exhibits are diverse. They include rare textile exhibits. Thüringer Waid is also featured. The museum also delves into the history of Neudietendorf. You can explore the Gutshaus. It is open from the cellar to the attic.

Hans von Ziegler’s acquisition shaped Ingersleben’s future. The Heimatmuseum preserves this legacy. It offers a glimpse into local history. Rural crafts are showcased here. Learn about agriculture and see old seals. Stencils and sealing wax are on display too. The museum also boasts a photo collection.

A collection of manuscripts covers literature. It also covers publishing history. Writers like Margarete and Frieda von Bülow are represented. Professor Herman Anders Krüger is too. And Ernst Püschel. Rare textile exhibits are also on display in the Heimatmuseum Ingersleben.

Visiting the Heimatmuseum Ingersleben is free. Donations are welcome. The Heimatmuseum Ingersleben is open on Sundays. The opening hours are from 2 PM to 6 PM. You can also make an appointment by phone.

To get here by car, head towards Molsdorf. Turn right in Marienthal. Follow signs for Neudietendorf. If you are coming from the A4, take the Neudietendorf exit. Then head towards Erfurt. Parking is available. You can also take the train. The Neudietendorf station is about 1.5 km from Ingersleben.
