From its humble beginnings in 1885, HEI Lille – Junia has grown into a powerhouse of engineering education. Colonel Henri Arnould founded HEI Lille during the industrial revolution. Northern France became a hub of economic development. HEI Lille contributed to the training of French engineers. Originally called the École des Hautes Études Industrielles, HEI Lille – Junia underwent a name change in 2003. This marked a significant milestone for the school. They had graduated their 8,000th student. HEI Lille – Junia is located within the Vauban university campus of Lille Catholic University. It has called 13 rue de Toul its home since its inception. The school also has a presence at 31ter rue Colbert, which houses the integrated preparatory classes. The institute of research and technology operates from 65, rue Roland. In 2012, HEI Lille – Junia expanded its reach with a new campus in Châteauroux. HEI Lille – Junia is deeply connected to its Lille roots. The school is attached to Lille Catholic University. It is also a member of the Conference des Grandes Écoles. This prestigious membership reflects the school’s high standards of teaching. HEI Lille – Junia also belongs to the Junia association of engineering schools (formerly Yncrea Hauts-de-France) and the FESIC.
