Nine floors of knowledge await within the Healey Library. This isn’t just a repository of books. The Healey Library stands as a cornerstone of UMass Boston. We are standing before a place of constant learning.

The Healey Library offers many resources. These include archives and special collections. Book lists highlight different themes. Course reserves are available here. You can find databases and e-journals. The library also provides e-resources. Info literacy tutorials help students navigate research. ScholarWorks and UMBrella are also accessible. WorldCat connects you to resources beyond UMass Boston.

Need assistance? You can ask a librarian. The Healey Library offers tutorials on how to search library resources. Faculty members have dedicated resources. Interlibrary loans broaden access to materials. You can manage your account online. Research guides are also available.

The Healey Library’s hours accommodate many schedules. During the spring semester, it’s open long hours. From Monday to Thursday, it is open 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. On Fridays, it closes a bit earlier at 6:00 p.m. Weekend hours are shorter. Saturday hours are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday hours are 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Did you know the Healey Library provides access to electronic content anytime, anywhere? You only need internet access. Use your UMB email and password for Single Sign On. This gives you access to all online resources.

The Healey Library underwent renovations as part of a campus plan. This project renovated spaces in McCormack and Wheatley Halls. The Science Center was demolished. Programs from there needed new homes. The Healey Library became one of those homes. The renovations were completed in January 2020.
