The four Mazars are significant. Bukhari’s Tomb is on the Eastern Gate. Jalal Bukhari Mazar is on the western gate. Ahzad Bukhari Tomb is in Telipara Tajganj. The fourth, Lal Bukhari tomb, is nearby. People believe the Taj Mahal remains safe as long as these mazars are intact.
The Urs of Hazrat Ahmad Shah Bukhari is celebrated on the same day as Shah Jahan’s. This highlights the close connection between the saint and the emperor. The 433rd Urs of Hazrat Syed Ahmed Bukhari Shah was celebrated from 17th to 19th February. This annual event attracts many devotees.
