“Fancy a story about a bank that survived wars and reinventions?” That’s the tale of Bankhaus Bauer. Founded in 1931 as Bankhaus Bauer KG in Stuttgart by Richard Bauer. The bank faced its first major challenge during World War II.

Between 1997 and 2006, the investment volume grew to over 700 million Euros. Wolfgang Kuhn, the executive board spokesman, oversaw this growth. In May 2006, Kuhn left Bankhaus Bauer AG. His departure marked the end of an era.
In 2006, the Schuppli-Gruppe merged its subsidiaries. Düsseldorfer Hypothekenbank AG and Bankhaus Bauer AG combined. Bankhaus Bauer AG became a non-independent branch of Düsseldorfer Hypothekenbank AG. This merger was influenced by the new Mortgage Bond Act.
Bankhaus Bauer AG was re-founded in 2010 or spun off. Raiffeisenbank Reutte reg.Gen.m.b.H. from Austria became the majority shareholder. In March 2015, BB Beteiligungs GmbH in Essen purchased the shares owned by Raiffeisenbank Reutte reg.Gen.m.b.H.. Operations continued without interruption.
In January 2017, Bankhaus Bauer expanded. A new branch opened in Essen. André Weber, a former BHF-Bank manager, was hired to manage private customer service. This expansion demonstrated the bank’s ongoing development.
Bankhaus Bauer AG is part of the Association of German Banks and its deposit protection fund. It is also a member of the ATM network CashPool. As a universal bank, Bankhaus Bauer offers various banking services. Its focus remains on wealth, private, and business clients.
