Harbor of Life Church embraces the concept that everyone is broken. Humans were created in God’s image. But sin and selfishness have caused them to live apart from God. The church points to Adam and Eve. They remind us that everyone is born with a selfish nature. People often think they can live without God.
The church teaches that only Jesus can fix this brokenness. God offers a relationship through Jesus’ life and death. This gift is not earned. It’s freely offered. People must accept it. This journey of faith begins by saying “yes” to Jesus. People cannot make up for their sins through self-improvement. Rightness is offered through grace. It is received by faith in Jesus Christ.
Harbor of Life Church believes in eternal life. People can choose to let Jesus lead. They can live forever with God in Heaven. Or they can reject Jesus. They will be eternally separated from God in Hell. The church is on a mission with Jesus. They empower their followers. They teach them to share God’s love with others. Churches emerge as people go on this mission. God changes the world heart-first. As hearts change, the world becomes better.
The Holy Spirit provides power. He lives in every follower of Jesus. He gives them the ability to live a life of love and understanding. This understanding is the spiritual truth. The Spirit brings boldness. It helps in sharing God’s message. The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son.
