Have you ever thought about the complex world of business and industry? Right in front of you, right on the edge of Münster, you can explore that world at the Hansa-Business-Park. Hansa-Business-Park, a sprawling industrial and commercial zone covering 67 hectares, has become a place of bustling activity and innovation. It’s not just a business park, it’s a microcosm of how Münster is developing, attracting businesses and contributing to its economic growth. The history of Hansa-Business-Park is closely tied to Münster’s need for modern industrial spaces. For years, the city lacked suitable areas for large-scale projects. That’s when Hansa-Business-Park was born, aiming to attract businesses and create jobs. In the early 1990s, the idea of establishing an industrial and commercial area near Amelsbüren was first proposed. The location is strategic, close to the A1 Autobahn, which connects Lübeck to the Ruhr region. The park is also strategically linked to the Dortmund-Ems Canal. You can see right here how the A1 motorway forms the southern boundary of the park. The construction of the Hansa-Business-Park was a multi-step process. The city council approved the development plan in 1993. The park was officially launched in 2010 after years of planning and development. The first buyer was L. Stroetmann Saat GmbH & Co. KG. The company’s seed center with silos, mixing plants, and storage halls was the first building erected within the park. A unique feature of the park is a 250-meter-long container terminal on the Dortmund-Ems Canal. Heavy-duty ships can dock there. This makes it an ideal location for businesses involved in the transportation and logistics sectors. Think of it as a modern bustling hub for trade and distribution. The Hansa-Business-Park is a success story. It’s provided Münster with the necessary space for industrial development. It attracts a mix of businesses. The park is a vibrant area with a bright future. The ongoing construction of a battery plant is one of the latest developments. This is a key development for the future. The Hansa-Business-Park is a testament to Münster’s dynamic spirit. It’s a place where innovation and business thrive side by side.
