Amidst the vibrant tapestry of Delhi, discover the tranquil oasis of Gurudwara Nanaksaar. Gurudwara Nanaksaar stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of Sikhism. It’s nestled on 1.5 acres in Rajinder Nagar, along Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Road. The land, originally belonging to the Indian government, was acquired by the Nanaksar Satsang Sabha for this very purpose, under the guidance of Sant Baba Gurdev Singh Jee. Gurudwara Nanaksaar serves as the central hub for eight other local Sabhas. The Delhi Sangat’s wish for a Nanaksar Asthan, initially voiced to Sant Baba Ishar Singh Jee, was realized through Sant Baba Gurdev Singh Jee. The year 1968 marked the beginning of Katha & Kirtan in a temporary structure. The permanent Gurudwara building, as we see it today, was constructed in 1976 under the patronage of Sant Baba Gurdev Singh Jee. The gleaming marble work and the radiant Golden Dome of Gurudwara Nanaksaar grace its exterior, attracting many for both morning and evening services. Every year on March 4th, Gurudwara Nanaksaar hosts a special annual celebration. Three continuous readings of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee are completed, culminating in an all-night Katha & Kirtan session. Renowned Ragiis from all over consider it a blessing to participate. The first Sunday after the Pooranmashi and the annual function are designated for Amrit Sanchar (initiation ceremony). However, anyone seeking Amrit can receive it any day of the year at Gurudwara Nanaksaar, with the hope of enhancing their lives. Beyond spiritual solace, Gurudwara Nanaksaar provides free healthcare services to everyone. A dispensary within the premises offers allopathy, homeopathy, and ayurvedic treatments by qualified doctors. Even acupressure treatments with modern equipment are available free of charge. Gurudwara Nanaksaar stands as a beacon of service and spiritual growth.
