Guia Hill Municipal Park boasts one of Macau’s largest collections of old trees.

At the summit stands Guia Fortress. This isn’t just any fortress. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Construction began in 1622. It protected Macau from invaders. It’s a symbol of Macau’s rich military maritime and religious history.
Within the fortress walls sits the Chapel of Our Lady of the Snows. It’s more than just a chapel. It’s a hidden treasure. Recent renovations uncovered fresco paintings. These beautiful murals depict biblical scenes and surprising Chinese motifs. It’s the only church in Macau with such interior frescoes.
