During your walk as Abu Dhabi Flaneurs, consider Abu Dhabi itself. Did you know Abu Dhabi means “Father of the Gazelle” in Arabic? This may refer to the gazelles that once roamed here. It could also refer to Sheikh Shakhbut bin Dhiyab Al Nahyan. He was an early ruler.
Abu Dhabi sits at the same latitude as the Bahamas. The Abu Dhabi Emirate comprises 87% of the UAE’s land. This emirate has over 200 islands along its 700 km coastline.
The walk with gubuyoBand becomes a journey through art. It is also a discovery of Abu Dhabi’s hidden stories. You walk. You observe. You experience. You become part of the city’s narrative.
