Once upon a time LG25 now GS25, sprang to life in Seoul’s Dongdaemun-gu in 1990. Today we are standing in front of one of the GS25 stores. It is a story of transformation and convenience.

GS25 is more than just a store. It’s a lifestyle platform. The name itself tells a tale. GS25 implies added value beyond the typical 24-hour service. The little dot at 1 o’clock on the “5” in the logo symbolizes this. It shows the pursuit of diverse lifestyle services.

In 2005, LG25 became GS25. This happened when GS Group parted ways with LG Corporation. The brand evolved. In 2019, GS25 unveiled a new brand identity. The slogan “Lifestyle Platform” marked a new chapter.

GS25 has locations all over South Korea. It is known for its variety. There are flavored milks and iced beverages. Korean snacks, ramen, fish cakes, and kimbaps are available here.

GS25 made its first venture outside South Korea in 2018. It opened a store in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. As of April 2023, GS25 operates 213 stores in Vietnam. GS25 has also expanded to Mongolia. GS25 opened in Mongolia in May 2021. There are now over 200 stores there.

GS25 is known for unique partnerships and offerings. GS25 stores have special features. The GS25 Jeonju Hanok Village Store is in a traditional tile-roof building. This store offers local liquors like Leegangju and Moju. The GS25 Cassia Sokcho Store has sea views and an outdoor terrace. The GS25 Cheongwa Gonggan Store overlooks Gyeongbokgung Palace. It has a photo studio with hanboks.

GS25 also offers exclusive food items. Hyeja Lunch Boxes are popular. They are named after actress Kim Hyeja. Chicken25 is GS25’s fried chicken brand. Cafe25 provides affordable coffee. You can even create a Banana Milk Latte.
